Password Recommendations

At SiteDocs, we are committed to helping keep your safety data secure online. One of the ways we work toward this is by making sure that users can't set a password that is known to have been compromised in a data breach.

How to Set a Strong Password

You can find endless advice online about setting a strong and secure password. We recommend using a strong password generator to take the guesswork out of it (password managers like dashlane.com offer these types of tools).

There is a lot of research that also suggests the strongest passwords are a series of random, unrelated words (ie., puppy-cloud-wrench-architect). There are tools online that will generate this type of "passphrase" for you as well (randompassphrasegenerator.com and useapassphrase.com, for example).

The bottom line is that your password should be at least 8 characters long with 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter, 1 number, and 1 special character and must not have been compromised in a data breach (don't worry, our system will check for you).
