TRIF Reporting in SiteDocs is done using our Analytics product. If you do not have Analytics in your subscription yet and would like more information about what Analytics is capable of or how much it costs, Essentials and Pro Users can click here for more information from our Accounts Team!
What is TRIF/TRIR/TRIFR?
TRIF is a standardized rate across many industries that calculates how frequently your company has incidents.
TRIF can be used to:
- Review and compare statistics
- Determine the effectiveness of safety programs
- Flag companies for inspection
How is TRIF/TRIR Calculated?
(Incidents x 200,000)/Actual Hours Worked
How is TRIFR Calculated?
((Fatalities+Injuries) x 1,000,000)/Actual Hours Worked
These equations allow you to standardize your rate to a company of 100 workers.
How can I get this Information into SiteDocs?
The best way to get information into SiteDocs is through a form. The best TRIF Entry form is simple, flexible, and easy to build.
- Date Item allows for the data to be entered after the reporting period is finished.
- Important: The questions for Total Incidents and Total Manhours must be Number Only items in order for Analytics to do the math automatically. Do not use Short or Long answer Questions.
- You can add more information if you'd like to, but these three items are what is required to calculate TRIF
- Optional: Make the section repeatable to allow for several months of statistics to be entered in a single document.
How do I get the Calculation done?
Once this data has been entered in your TRIF Form, you can use SiteDocs Analytics to make a calculation of your TRIF Rating over time. This means Year to Date, Year to Year, Quarterly, Monthly, by Location, etc.
