The Difference Between Private And Standard Forms

Follow

When you start building a Form, you have two options for Form Type: Standard and Private.

The key difference between the two is the visibility on your Mobile or Web Application.

Standard Forms can be viewed by anyone who is logged into your SiteDocs Account and is assigned to the Location in which the Form was created. Standard Forms are used for most documentation, like Hazard Assessments, Inspections, Checklists, etc.

Private Forms can only be viewed on the SiteDocs Application by the user who created the Form, and only on the device that was used to create the Form. Private Forms are used for Forms with potentially private or embarrassing information in them; for example, an injury report where medical information might be included or a disciplinary Form where punishment information might be disclosed.

Both Form Types can be viewed by Administrators from the Administrator Panel and the Web App; however, in order to open a Private Form, the Administrator will have to enter their username and password again. This is a second layer of security to make sure that private information is only viewed by those who have the proper credentials.
