How To Delete A Form Template Or Make It Inactive

Follow

(Note: This article address Form Templates only. Form Templates are the list of Forms ready to be filled out under the Forms tab on the App or found under Settings > Form Builder on the Admin Panel. This article does not refer to forms that have already been signed.)

There are two ways to remove a Form Template from view on the SiteDocs.

Mark a Form Template 'Inactive'

Marking a Form Template as Inactive removes it from any mobile devices in your account but does not delete the Template from the Form Builder in the Admin Panel. This is often useful for Form Templates that are only used occasionally (not needed on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis) or when a revision needs to be made to a Form Template and you do not want Workers to have access to the Form until the revision is complete and the Form Template is made Active again.

Note: Workers need to have their device sync up-to-date in order for their Form Template list to display the same Active Form Template list shown in the Admin Panel's Form Builder.

Also Note: Making Forms inactive only affects account that are not using Custom Menus.

Option 1:

  1. From Settings > Form Builder, un-check the bubble under the “Active” Column next to the form in question. (If you do not see a column named "Active", watch this video to learn how to make this column visible.)

Option 2:

  1. To mark several Forms Inactive at once, select the Forms in question by checking the bubble to the left of the Form Template name.
  2. Select “Set Inactive”.

Delete a Form Template

Deleting a Form Template will remove the Form Template from view on any Mobile Device, as well as permanently delete it in your Administrator Panel's Form Builder. While all previously signed forms using this Form Template will remain accessible in your account, the Form Template itself will no longer be accessible. Use this option only if you know you will never need to use this Template again, or want to edit it in any way. This action cannot be undone.

  1. Select the Form(s) in question.
  2. Click “Delete”.
