Creating Forms & Adding Resources

Follow

Once you have your Workers and Locations set up, you'll need to populate your account with documents so your workers have something to do in the app!

Your SiteDocs documents will exist in two concepts: forms that your workers fill out and PDF Resource documents that your workers will refer to as needed.

Building Forms

The forms your workers were filling out on paper will need to be built into your SiteDocs account, using our Form Builder. Have no fear! This tutorial video will teach you all you need to know about building your forms:

Resource Library

There are a lot of documents that your workers refer to out on site that aren't Forms they need to fill out. We call these "Resources" - things like your Safety Manual, SDS documents, site plans, etc. Uploading these to your PDF Resource library is quick and easy; this tutorial video will walk you through it:

Optional Tips for your Resource Section:

  1. Password Protected PDFs ARE supported in your Resource Section.
    • Users on the Applications can sign the Resource if they enter the password, but they won’t be able to view the PDF in the finished Form. It will look like this:

  2. Keep Your Resources short (around 50 or so in length). For longer documents, like Safety Manuals, Orientation Documents, etc., divide the document into Sections or Chapters. This can help with two things; It makes it easier for your Workers to find the section of your Resource they are looking for and it means that when they sign off on a section of the Resource, you know which section specifically they are signing off on.
  3. There is a size limit for Resources of 30mb per file. To make a larger file fit the limit, you can either compress the file or divide the file into sections, as mentioned in the previous tip.
  4. There is a limit of 5,500 items in your Resource library, including library sections.
