Set Up File Sharing For Uploading Photos And PDFs In The SiteDocs Desktop App For Windows

In order to upload Images into your Forms or PDFs into your PDF Form Items, you must set up a file on your computer to share from. This is so that the Android subsystem can interact with your Windows machine.

  1. Open Start on Windows 11.

  2. Search for Windows Subsystem for Android and select the top result to open the app.

  3. Select "Advanced Settings".

  4. Select the "Experimental Features" setting.

  5. Turn on the “Share user folders” toggle switch.

  6. Select "Change Folder" and select or create the Folder you would like to use to import PDFs.

  7. Select "System".
  8. Select the "Turn off" button for the “Turn off Windows Subsystem for Android” setting.

  9. Restart the computer to apply the changes.

Now whenever you upload a photo or PDF into a Form using your Desktop App, you will be able to choose from PDF Files in the Folder you chose.
