Are you sharing a Dashboard with other Analytics users in your account, but you don't want them to adjust certain filters? For example, you've created an Incident Report for each Location's Manager, but you don't want them to be able to change the Location name filter and see the incident data for other Locations. No problem, you can lock the filter!

  1. Select the Menu button in the top right corner of your filter.
  2. Select "Lock".

Locking the filter means that anyone with Viewer access cannot change the filter at all. This can mean that their overall permission level is Viewer or that when you shared the Dashboard, you set them to "Can View" (for more information about permission levels when sharing Dashboards, click here).

To unlock the filter:

  1. Select the Menu button in the top right corner of your filter.
  2. Select "Unlock".

Note: If a worker clicks on a widget that affects the Locked filter, it will update the filter and they will not be able to fix it if the filter is locked. To combat this:

  1. Select the Menu button in the top right corner of the Widget(s) in question.
  2. Select "Widget affects dashboard filters".
